Black Mountain Mapping & FOSS (Friends of the South Slopes) partnered in 2012 to design and produce the Myra-Bellevue Provincial Park Trail Map. The popular park on Kelowna's south slopes is home to a multi-use trail system that accomodates mountain biking, horse back riding and hiking. Black Mountain Mapping provides the map and design support for the partnership that is now in its third year. The map is updated and printed on waterproof paper.
The park trail map is sold at local outdoor stores which assists with fund raising for trail maintenance. FOSS is dedicated to preserving the environmental integrity of the south slopes of Kelowna by constructing and maintaining public facilities, trails and signs in Myra-Bellevue Provincial Park and in other areas of the south slopes (outside the boundaries of the park) while promoting minimal impact recreation.
